Is FSY a good fit for you?

Are you a YSA who enjoys interacting with youth?
FSY staff accompany, supervise, interact positively with, and independently care for the safety and well-being of a group of youth while maintaining their mental and physical well-being and emotional stability, including in stressful situations.

Do you have energy, stamina, and resilience?
FSY staff must be energized, actively engaged, participate in physically and mentally demanding activities—such as dancing, working in crowded and loud environments, playing physically demanding games, walking long distances in locations where it's necessary to navigate hills and stairs in multi-storied buildings—and perform all assigned duties.

Do you have effective social skills that allow you to genuinely connect with others?
FSY staff communicate and interact with hundreds of people throughout the summer. Staff must be able to understand and respond to youth participants’ and colleagues’ words, actions, and nonverbal communication in ways that help everyone have a positive and uplifting experience.

Do you have a strong desire to teach and testify of Jesus Christ?
FSY summer staff are religious ministers for the Church who are expected to be disciples of Jesus Christ that believe in, live, and support Church doctrine and teachings.

If you have any questions, please review the FSY website including FSY Employee Special Needs and Considerations.
