Employment Application Process (U.S.)

Employment authorization—As a reminder, all persons hired will be required to verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete required employment eligibility verification forms upon hire. Please note that the employer is not offering employment with FSY as an internship, work experience, OPT, or any other visa-related opportunity and will not be able to provide visa sponsorship for this position in the United States. Simply having a passport does not of itself constitute eligibility to work.

FSY is a program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Employment at FSY sessions in the United States will be through FSY, LLC. The Church has contracted with BYU to provide some of the support services for FSY, including hosting this website and other technical support.

Application Process

Before applying, learn more about job requirements, responsibilities, and qualifications on our Employment Positions page. Employment policies referenced in the application can be read in the Policies section of this site.

Please note that the application has two parts. By clicking the “Apply Now” button you will be directed to part one of the FSY application. Please read all questions carefully and follow the instructions. For example, when directed to copy and paste the FSY Application Code or input your MRN, the information must be accurate.

Please note the application process below:

Step 1

Complete part one of the application through the FSY dashboard.

Step 2

Once you finish part one, click the “Workday” button to complete part two of the application.

  • Where indicated, copy and paste the FSY Application Code you received in part one into your Workday application.
  • Please read the application questions carefully and follow the instructions.
Step 3

If you are selected for an interview, you will be invited to schedule an interview through Workday.

Step 4

All candidates selected to continue in the hiring process must pass a background check and have an ecclesiastical endorsement following an interview. Please watch for an email from Truescreen and promptly follow the instructions.

After the offer letter is signed and submitted, you will receive notification to complete a series of onboarding tasks in Workday.

Step 7

You will be notified through FSY dashboard when you can complete your My FSY Information and other important tasks.

Helpful Hints
  • You can access your Workday account through your FSY dashboard by clicking on the Workday tile.
  • If you are a BYU student or work for BYU, please regularly check your personal and BYU email for updates regarding your application status. In addition, you can log into your Workday account to check for notifications or pending tasks awaiting your action.
  • Please note that all candidates must have an active temple recommend for the entire duration of their application and employment.
  • You must complete part one (pre-application in FSY dashboard) and part two (Workday application) to be considered for employment.
Application Screening
  • An up-to-date, professional, one-page resume is required to be uploaded in PDF format.
  • Initial hiring screening will be based on an applicant’s resume. It is important to include dates of education history, employment experience, and volunteer experience (include mission experience if applicable).
Interview
  • Interviews may take place in person or over Zoom. In-person interviews are preferred.
  • All applicants living within a reasonable driving distance of an in-person interview location are encouraged to sign up for in-person interviews. In-person interview locations will be posted as dates are confirmed.
  • Online interviews are reserved for applicants not living within reasonable driving distance of an in-person interview location. For example, if you reside in Utah County and schedule an online interview, you may be asked to reschedule.

Communication with applicants is essential. Text or email will be the primary form of communication used by FSY to notify applicants of their status during the application and hiring process. Please keep your contact information current in your application and in Workday.
